Genny, Kirsten and I recently returned from a fun getaway to debrief about all that has happened with LIFT and spend dedicated time dreaming and planning for the future. We worked (and played a little!) but, most importantly, we thought about YOU. It was great!
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback on the surveys about our recent LIFT event. We really appreciated your comments and they played a key role in what we’ve lined up for the year.
We’re thrilled to have you as part of our LIFT community and hope you join us in one (or all!) of the 5 opportunities below.
Book Discussion Groups:
Join one of our Braving the Wilderness discussion groups and move toward each other with compassion and understanding. This book is a great springboard into having important and meaningful conversations with each other. In it, Brene Brown, PhD, LMSW, “redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization.” She speaks to this reality: “In a culture that’s rife with perfectionism and pleasing, and with the erosion of civility, it’s easy to stay quiet, hide in our ideological bunkers, or fit in rather than show up as our true selves and brave the wilderness of uncertainty and criticism.”
I (Pam) have a deep passion for helping women come into a fuller understanding of who they are and I will be facilitating these groups. I love creating safe places for women of all backgrounds and beliefs to lean in to each other.
Here are two different options to choose from:
Tuesday Mornings: 9:30-11 a.m.; March 6, 13, April 3, 10
Tuesday Evenings: 7-8:30 p.m.; March 6, 13, April 3, 10
Don’t miss your chance to jump in and join us! Simply email me and I’ll get you plugged in. And if these times don’t work and you are still interested in being part of a group, let me know that as well!
Purpose and Productivity Workshop:
Join us for an inspirational and practical Purpose and Productivity Workshop on April 19th from 7-9 p.m. at BanBury Golf Course. We all want to know we’re living a meaningful life and managing our days well. This workshop will help you do that! We’ll work with you to:
- Create a personal mission statement
- Assess your priorities, and marry them with your strengths and passions
- Identify the optimal way to structure your days
Register and obtain more information here.
Focus Forum Discussion:
Do you think about or wrestle with the big questions of life? We’re excited to hold an open discussion on May 17th around the question, “Is God Really Loving?” We hope to gather women of all beliefs and backgrounds for this moderated discussion. We look forward to open and honest communication that helps LIFT each participant up. Plan to bring a friend who has a different perspective than you! We will send out more details as the date approaches, but mark your calendars now.
Bible Discussion Group:
This summer we are planning on having a Bible discussion group. It’ll be just like our book discussion groups, but our book will be the Bible. Again, we welcome one and all and are excited about getting some good discussion going, especially during those summer months when many of our normal rhythms change.
Conquering Fear Workshop:
We’ll be hosting our Conquering Fear Workshop on October 18th from 7-9pm. We offer this workshop just once a year, so mark your calendars now. This workshop helps you:
- Identify the different kinds of fear and the ways it impacts our lives
- Acquire key truths to reframe fear
- Explore how fear points you to your purpose in life
Stay tuned for registration details in the fall.
It is our desire to be in conversation with women of all perspectives and beliefs. While we at LIFT embrace a Christian faith perspective, we appreciate being able to link arms with those different from us for the purpose of mutual listening and understanding. By engaging in respectful conversation, we hope to share in one another’s journey and take steps toward the fuller lives we believe each woman is meant to experience.
We love being able to come alongside you to help you live inspired, fearless, thriving lives and we hope to see you at one of these events soon! As always, feel free to reach out to us any time with questions or feedback.
